Question for those of you in Beta, is their F2P Model more like League of Legends, or More Like Allods/Black Prophecy?

Search function is your friend.

If people in beta were to answer you here, they would be breaking the NDA.

Dumbass question either way because it's been stated that nothing offered in the premium shop is anything more than quality of life improvements ( premium sub, premium variants of mechs, etc, all of these offer one thing: more xp and c-bills per battle than a regular account/mech).

The NDA prevents us from going into detail.

If you watch any video or read the dev chats, etc, it's obvious the answer is a LoL-style model. No NDA breach required.

no NDA-breaking required

the Devs have said they will always be FTP and never P2W. Mechs and equipment and such will always be available for cash or in-game currency

No game company in their right mind would say that their game is P2W or else no one would play it just happens. Then you have some people that have no skills like in WoT and complain that it is a P2W when it's not. The MW universe is much more complex than tanks, I can see this happening. If it P2W or not will be seen once it is released. This game has a lot of potential and it is worth being a founder!

See, you don't have to wave the "I'm special" NDA flag around and still can answer people's questions. Some people can't afford the cost and so they live through our vague answers : :D .

It's not P2W. Period. Why? Because I can take a starter mech and kill you with it no matter what you're piloting (player skill aside). A P2W game requires you to buy stuff from the company store to kill a veteran player or one who has company store equipment. Not so with this game.

That is a faulty argument. It doesn't matter if you "can" win or not. What matters is that you don't have any combat advantages in the process. P2W means buyers have combat advantages, such as superior dps or hp which you can't obtain yourself. MWO will not have paid combat advantages thus it is not P2W. It will function like League of Legends, where money simply buys you an regular unlock faster or boosts and/or skins.(Skins=You'd look more unique but function no differently in combat)

It's so nice to see many of you respect so much the Dev's and the Non-disclosure.
Nice of you, gentleman.

It is not a violation of the NDA to discuss F2P vs P2W or to repeat what they have already publicly stated about their planned business model. They openly STATE they are planning F2P and not P2W. You can see it in Dev posts and I think there's a video too. Don't confuse openly released data with stuff under wraps.

I was not ironic, i am really giving you guys kudos.

Be it a violation or not, it's nice to see you guys worried about breaking it or not.
